SUP Yoga Sri Lanka and the W15 Ahangama SUP Yoga Retreat

It is quite likely that you have come across the term Yoga which has been steadily gaining popularity in the west riding atop the ‘new age’ wave and you may know that it has something to do with mind-body meditation but you may be wondering what SUP Yoga means. Take a wild guess…… Yes! SUP is an acronym for Stand Up Paddleboard. This subculture is where Yoga poses are carried out atop stand up paddleboards while they float on water and requires the user to be more mindful of their body to maintain balance and prevent falling off in to the water.

SUP Yoga Sri Lanka offers a SUP yoga experience which caters to people with of any level of experience in yoga and paddle boarding. The sessions are carried out in a secluded lagoon where the water is only waist deep should you happen to fall. The dedicated instructor is a certified SUP yoga instructor with much experience and will make sure you are challenged and stimulated. You will get an opportunity to paddle around the lagoon for a short while after the session ends on their famous “boga yoga” paddleboards and you will be welcome with a refreshing king coconut drink after you return to shore.
